The Power of Manifesting

09 March 2017

This is a fairly recent development. For most of my life, I was a skeptic. I guess it was a product of my upbringing. My family was very practical and cynical: my grandmother is an atheist and my mother used to think I was nuts whenever I brought up “the law of attraction”.

When I started healing my life and shifting my mentality from negative to positive, things changed. My worldview altered. I began envisioning the future that I wanted. I firmly believed to my core that I could do and achieve whatever I put my mind to. I felt sure that I could turn my dreams into reality – and slowly but surely, I am doing just that.

Knowing you CAN do something (if you really want to) is essentially what manifesting is all about. It’s seeing the glass half full.

The concept doesn’t work if you wake up every day thinking you “can’t” do this and you “can’t” do that. Those thoughts work as blockages. They put you in an unhealthy, limited frame of mind.

You have to know you are worthy enough to live the life of your dreams.

Do this, and you’ll attract abundance.

Do this, and you’ll be open to receiving health, wealth, happiness and energy.

Do this, and you’ll believe the world is working with you, not against you.

Do this, and suddenly life won’t seem as hard.

The beauty of manifesting is it’s all on you. It doesn’t matter if your mum, siblings or friends have limited belief systems – that’s their choice. You can choose to be an optimist. You can choose to look at the bright side. And you can choose to dream big – because why shouldn’t you?! J

I’m telling you this because I want you to learn about the power of the mind. I want you to reach your goals, and to make the most out of life. I used to be negative cynic, but now that I’ve discovered the practice of manifestation, I can confidently say you CAN turn your thoughts and beliefs into reality. You just have to BELIEVE you can.

A+ for affirmations

Saying positive affirmations puts you in a positive frame of mind. This is a form of manifestation. If you tell yourself you’re going to have a good day, in all likelihood you will! On the other hand, if you wake up thinking, “today is going to be crap,” everything will seem much harder.

I’d like you to create five affirmations for yourself. Make sure they’re in the present tense to keep that good energy pulsating. They can be about gratitude, or things you’d like more of in life. Write them down somewhere and say them every single day. Even if they’re not true just yet, saying them on a repetitive basis will help your mind to figure out ways to change that. Here are some examples:

“I attract health”

“I attract travel”

“I am living my dream life”

“I am healthy”

“I am thankful for my body”

“I am financially safe”

Then – you need to actually FEEL how good it feels to have those things – your dreams. That’s the little trick manifesters often forget – you need to FEEL the dream.
